U.S. Judge Dismisses Charges Against 6 Somalis

Back on April 16, 2009 and November 18, 2009, I wrote about several situations involving Somali teens accused of Piracy, as many then termed it.

Seems appropriate that a judge has seen fit to declare the then labeled pirates as not fitting a nearly 200-year-old Supreme Court decision, United States v. Smith as well as the international definition of piracy.

Since there is no viable stabilized government in Somalia, teens, including adults, are simply seeking means of sustainability. I say cudos to U.S. District Judge Raymond A. Jackson...
